Childcare Benefit and Childcare Rebate

Our educational facility implements Child Care Benefit (CCB) and the Child Care Rebate (CCR) i.e. 50% Child Care Tax Rebate for out-of-pocket expenses.

As everyone’s circumstances are different, the following information is a guide only. Please contact Centrelink to discuss individual eligibility.

If I am not working, studying or training, can I still apply for government subsidies?

Yes, you are still eligible for up to 24 hours of CCB (two days care) per week. Our fees are charged at a daily rate of 12 hours, and any additional days you required must be paid for at the full rate. For more than two full days care eligibility with CCB and CCR, you must pass the government’s Work/Training/Study test.

How is CCB paid?

The Child Care Benefit is paid directly to your child care provider reducing your daily fees. You will only be charged the Gap fee of the full fee minus your CCB entitlement

How is the 50% Child Care Rebate paid?

You can elect to have the CCR paid to yourself or to the service. Please advise us when enrolling how you have elected to have the CCR paid .

How much CCB will I receive?

CCB is means tested so the amount you receive depends on your family income. Please contact Centrelink to receive your CCB entitlement, or contact the centre and we can give you a rough estimation based on your income estimation.

How is the 50% Child Care Rebate calculated?

The 50% Child Care rebate is calculated on your Out-of-Pocket expenses for eligible families.
